2003
| Our
fourth year, and our biggest and best yet. 2003 was our first foray into
theatres with the tour of Hamlet and A Midsummer Night's Dream. We were
out between September and late November, with a cast who, for the most
part, had just completed our summer season, so for them to produce the
magnificent performances they did, day in day out, for nearly six months
was phenomenal. A big thank you to all of them. This was also the year that Chapterhouse released our 'Midsummer and Winter' CD, containing music from our most popular shows, written and performed by myself and Bryan Nevin, amongst others. This was great fun to do, and was readily enjoyed by those who bought it. Richard Main |

| ROMEO
and JULIET by William Shakespeare Directed by Richard Main The opportunity to perform the closing
scenes of Romeo and Juliet under a clear, star lit sky is one of the many
wonderful memories I have been given by Chapterhouse. Over the years, I
hope that both audiences and actors alike have taken fond memories from
our performances, as I have. Our two new ventures in 2003 hopefully added
to those memories. Richard Main |
'the
audience was treated to a superb performance by Chapterhouse Theatre
Company' The Ormskirk Advertiser 'a touring company which rises to the challenge of
staging plays in the open air and succeeds triumphantly' 'Very slick and intimate' 'passion and power...Di Caprio and other 'big'
names I have seen fade into mediocrity against delivery of this
calibre' |

| HAMLET by William Shakespeare Directed by Karen Crow and A
Midsummer Night's Dream Directed by Karen Crow By the summer of 2003 our open air tours of country houses and gardens during summer were well established and seen throughout Britain by thousands of theatre lovers. I decided to take the company's brand of accessible and energy driven Shakespeare to theatres throughout the land in an exciting and thrilling new journey, with many of those actors who helped to build that brand, hopefully enjoyed by all the audiences who saw us. Richard Main |
'pure dynamite' Swindon Evening Advertiser, on Hamlet 'I've said it before, and no doubt will do so again..."Another triumph for the
company."' 'Shakespeare plays are safe in this company’s hands.' 'Chapterhouse, well done (again)' |
