Following last year's sell-out production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Chapterhouse Theatre Company proudly presents a sparkling new production of everyone’s favourite summer show. Dressed in magnificent Elizabethan costume with a large ensemble cast and an enchanting original music score, this show promises to be one of the most delightful evenings of the summer. Fairies frolic in the starlit night and raucous tradesman prepare for their wedding feast performance in this wonderfully funny and beautifully versed play by William Shakespeare. Arrive early with friends and family, picnic in the gardens of some of the most beautiful country houses and castles in the UK, and enjoy an evening of fun, music and laughter.

 

A Midsummer Night's Dream

Shakespeare’s romantic tale of star crossed lovers, the greatest love story ever told, unfolds against the stunning backdrops of some of the most wonderful open-air venues in the UK and Ireland.

Magnificent period costume, large cast and an enchanting musical score promise to create one of the most memorable evenings of the summer.

Directed by Simon James Green whose recent work includes the West End hit ART, as well as Chapterhouse’s own critically acclaimed The Taming of the Shrew, this exciting new production tours theatres, castles and country house gardens with a large ensemble cast. Join Chapterhouse Theatre Company on this wonderful evening of theatre under the stars. Romeo and Juliet

Join Chapterhouse Theatre Company for this, the most beautiful of Shakespeare’s romantic comedies. A magical evening of music and fun set in the grounds of the most spectacular gardens throughout the UK and Ireland.

Directed by Simon James Green, whose most recent work includes the West End productions of Simply Heavenly and ART as well as Chapterhouse’s own critically acclaimed production of The Taming of the Shrew, this promises to be a very special evening in the summer calendar.

Mistaken identities and rakish rascals abound in this glorious production, dressed in magnificent Elizabethan costume with music based on the original Elizabethan score.

Twelfth Night

Join Chapterhouse Theatre Company for this wonderful new production of two family favourites. These best-loved fairytales are brought together for the first time in a magical, musical show, which will enchant children of all ages - and with plenty to keep the grown ups entertained as well! 

As the three bears prepare for their breakfast, there’s a wolf on the prowl, looking for more than a bowl of porridge. Find out how the residents of the woodland take to two of literatures finest young heroines, Goldilocks and Little Red Riding Hood, but watch out, for there is a twist in the bear’s tale!

This splendid new production is directed by Simon James Green. Simon’s recent work includes the West End productions of ART and Simply Heavenly, as well as the forthcoming national tours of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Chapterhouse’s own national tours of Shakespeare for the 2006 garden theatre season.

Come early with family and friends to enjoy picnics in the grounds of beautiful country house gardens. Children should of course invite teddy along and come in  fancy dress to take part in the fairytale parade, another part of this wonderful afternoon's entertainment.
