| 6th July 2010 | Beauty and the Beast begins... | Rehearsals for Beauty and the Beast have been in full swing for two weeks now, and the actors are preparing for their dress rehearsal tomorrow in front of a local primary school! The six-strong cast, which includes Georgina Sherrington, best known for her role as Mildred Hubble in CITV's The Worst Witch, are very excited about heading out on the road for their first performance at Claremont on Friday. | 11th June 2010 | Opening Nights! | Last night was the opening night of Pride and Prejudice to a sell-out audience at Leeds Castle, and A Midsummer Night's Dream at Hampton Court Castle. Both performances went spectacularly, and we are very excited about the opening night of The Merchant of Venice this evening at Bishop's Palace, Wells, and Much Ado About Nothing at Catthorpe Manor on Saturday. | 9th June 2010 | New venues added | Three new venues have been added to our tour schedules: Pride and Prejudice will visit Broxbourne Civic Hall on 7th July, and A Midsummer Night's Dream will be at Hardwick Park on 5th August and at Rhinefield House Hotel on 1st August. | 12th May 2010 | Royal Opening... |
We were thrilled to yesterday be involved in a special
one-off event at Sedgefield's Hardwick Park to celebrate the park's
reopening by HRH Duke of Gloucester, following a renovation project that has
seen the lands restored to their former Regency glory. Chapterhouse
performed An Afternoon of Austen, a specially commissioned piece by
Resident Writer Laura Turner and directed by Rebecca Gadsby, and the actors
paraded around the lake in full period costume. We were delighted to be
involved with this event in connection with Durham County Council, and we
hope to have the opportunity to be involved with many more special events
like this.

Performances are selling very quickly, with some performances already selling out, particularly for Pride and Prejudice, which is looking to be a very popular choice! which is thought to be the setting for part of Persuasion, is one of
many beautiful venues across the UK and Ireland that the production will be

Chapterhouse are thrilled to be involved with the first ever
Lincoln Shakespeare Festival, to be held in Lincoln over the August Bank
Holiday Weekend of Thursday 26th to Sunday 29th August 2010. As part of a
fun-packed weekend of events to celebrate the lifetime of the bard,
Chapterhouse will be performing A Midsummer Night's Dream and The
Merchant of Venice in the beautiful grounds of the Lawn, Lincoln. Check our
